Stunningly good Indian / Bangladeshi take-away outside Bristol

Spending a couple of weeks in the Bristol area in the West of England, we thought we’d resurrect one of our customs when we’re back here in the UK: a Friday night curry!

The restaurant was slightly difficult to find as the address on Google maps was wrong, but nothing was going to stop me collecting our pre-ordered curry! One has to raise one’s eyes to spot the place, which appears to be a converted pub, and access is up a set of steps, with no sign on the road. Parking is tricky so best to go in pairs so one person can sit in the car, ready to move the car, while the other one collects the food. That probably accounts for why it didn’t seem that busy on a Friday night!

The views from their terrace of the surrounding countryside are fantastic! Plus it’s stunningly good quality food! Naga chicken & Adda Ghost were fantastic, richly flavoured, spicy and interesting! The onion rice, tarka dall & peshwari nan were also very, very good. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely return.
